Istation is looking for school districts to partner in a validity study designed to build a valid and reliable ISIP Matemáticas assessment for students. To conduct the research, Istation needs students in grades K through 5 currently receiving math instruction in Spanish to complete Logramos®, a Spanish math assessment created by Riverside Insights™.
Logramos® is a valid and reliable assessment that uses empirical norms from a representative national sample.
Student Participation
To conduct the study, students in kindergarten through fifth grade will be asked to take the Logramos assessment from Riverside Insights. This assessment will take students approximately 30 minutes to complete. Students will not be given a score, and the results will not go on their monthly progress-monitoring report.
Teacher Participation
Teachers will need to provide a classroom roster, help students prepare to take the assessment on their devices, and proctor the administration to make sure students stay on task.
School Participation
The school will need to send home consent forms, provide student demographic information to Istation, and provide a suitable room for assessing the students. The school can also work with the teacher to provide the classroom roster.
Testing window is August 2023 through May 2024. |
This research study is designed to provide more equity for Spanish-speaking students by assessing them in their language of strength. The study will provide Istation with data to ensure that the ISIP Matemáticas is a valid assessment.
This Logramos® assessment is free to participants of the study, which represents a savings of $15 per student.
Participating teachers will receive a report that will identify their students’ strengths and weaknesses based on the Logramos® assessment results.
