Georgia educators now have access to the MetaMetrics® Lexile® Educator Academy – at no cost!
This consists of a self-paced professional development course that provides a blueprint for matching students with leveled resources and individualizing student goals.

As RTI grew even more in scope and depth, intervention and support started to further incorporate the diverse needs of students. The RTI pyramid model morphed into a circle to represent ongoing student intervention, also known as Multi-Tier System of Supports (MTSS). In addition, the behavioral aspects of intervention came to include cultural awareness, evidence-based practices, and a multilevel prevention system that incorporated things such as a school’s community and MTSS technologies.

Once certified, Georgia educators can leverage Lexile Measures to drive student growth and predict reading success. This powerful tool helps educators measure how well a student can read and their level of comprehension.
The Georgia Department of Education partnered with MetaMetrics® to correlate the Georgia Milestones English Language Arts (ELA) assessments with the Lexile scale. Georgia students now receive a Lexile measure rating on their Georgia Milestones End of Grade or End of Course ELA assessment.
