About Robert H. Pasternack, Ph.D.
The Honorable Robert H. Pasternack, Ph.D. served as Assistant Secretary for the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services at the U.S. Department of Education under President George W. Bush. During his tenure, he was responsible for the reauthorization of IDEA to include RTI and the implementation of No Child Left Behind. Dr. Pasternack was the New Mexico State Director of Special Education. He is a nationally certified school psychologist, educational diagnostician, school administrator, and teacher.
